To celebrate the coming solstice, Supreme has released a capsule collection in conjunction with Vans, basking in its skate heritage with an all-over floral print – aptly juxtaposing alternative punk culture with 19th century European art. Here, the popular SK8- Hi, Chukka and Era receive covet renditions courtesy of artwork from New Order’s 1983 album release: Power, Corruption & Lies. The album sleeve was designed by English art director Peter Saville who interpolated his idea from French artist Henri Fantin-Latour’s “A Basket of Roses” painting. The Chukka and Era feature canvas uppers with leather lining and in-soles, and as usual the SK8-Hi features a premium suede toe box with canvas and leather accents, rounded up with a white vulcanized sole on all profiles. The capsule collection will be available in-store in NY, LA and London and online on March 7, in addition to availability in Japan from March 9 onwards.Very botanical, too ill for the garden parties. Slated for a Black Friday release, the two have cooked up the Nike SB 2012 “When Pigs Fly” Dunk Hi. Inspired by the 80′s flick Porky’s, the high top sneaker comes with a light pink premium suede upper, that is paired with a light grey suede on the tongue and contrasting blue laces. Final touches include the gum outer sole and of course the flying pig lace lock and a silver Swoosh, all coming nicely packaged in a “Shower Box”. The Concepts for Nike SB “When Pigs Fly” Dunk Hi’s will release on Black Friday, November 23 exclusively through Concepts in Cambridge at 6:00 a.m. A series of other goodies will be released along with the sneaker, including a skateboard deck, sweaters, hoodies, as well as caps.

A Bathing Ape x Ferrari 458 Italia GT3

so... kc's bday is coming up... hint hint... In celebration of the new Ferrari Maserati showroom in Repulse Bay, Ferrari Maserati of Hong Kong and I.T hosted an invite-only party earlier this week with a special project at the helm. Unveiled at the event was a special edition of the Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. Created in conjunction with A Bathing Ape and NIGO, the Italian supercar turned GT racer appears in BAPE‘s signature 1st CAMO motif and was undoubtedly the showstopper of the event as it was prominently displayed in the state-of-the-art 19,000-square-foot facility. The small gathering also included music by NIGO as the brand founder continued his interest in the automotive world. I will atleast get to test drive this ill beast. -kc
